Hi everyone, Dr Cris here bringing you The Ask Dr Chris Show.   Today’s question comes from someone who we are going to withhold their name because it is a sensitive topic it is “how do I boost my sex drive?’   I get asked this all the time, it’s really, really, common in today’s society to have a very low sex drive.

There are 4 things that I would say that boost libido in general.

  • The first one is make sure you getting a good night’s sleep. If you not getting a good night’s sleep consistently you will absolutely kill your sex drive.
  • Number 2 – reduce stress levels, once again I know it is easier said than done, I say it all the time, but stress is the number one cause of a lot of mental health issues, and a lot of hormonal issues, one being reduction of testosterone which is your sex drive inducing hormone. So, making sure you are getting a good night’s sleep, and you’re reducing your stress levels will boost your testosterone.
  • The third thing is working on your connection.  Libido for many women are connected to the emotional system, so boosting Oxytocin which is a bonding hormone that will help to boost your libido.  So, do things together, and create your best friend as your partner, try and boost your sex drive that way, and
  • The fourth and final thing – exercise!  Exercise boosts testosterone which once again boosts your sex drive.
