Dr Cris here with The Ask Dr Cris Show.  Today’s question comes from Julia she would like to know what are some natural treatments for PMS?  PMS can affect a lot of women, it often occurs in the last half of your menstrual cycle and there are a few supplements which will help.

The evidence towards a couple of them in particular, as being effective are: vitamin B6, Pyridoxal 5 Phosphate, it comes as a tablet and it can be purchased from health food stores.  I start with a hundred milligrams a day in the last second half of you cycle and see how you feel.   Evening primrose oil can also be of benefit two grams a day, once again in the second half of your cycle could be affective, and then there are more specific ones such as Vitex, or Chaste tree can also be effective also purchased from your health food store and Indole 3 Carbinol another herb also purchased from your health food store.   So do look into those, they are for natural treatments that may be of effect, in your case for your PMS.

Thanks Julia if you’ve got any other questions please leave them below.  I hope that you are loving The Ask Dr Cris show, if you would like to see more of The Ask Dr Cris Show please press subscribe.
